Product Certification
Products subject to mandatory certification within the EEU may be issued with a certificate of conformity in Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan or Armenia. Thus, an organization that has the CC EEU is able to import goods into the territory of these five states.
The certificate may be issued both for products which are produced in series, and for an individual consignment of goods.
During certification process, all goods are to be tested by the legitimate laboratories, with subsequent receipt of a test report.
Application for certification may be made by Russia's manufacturer of the goods, as well as the importer, planning to import and sell products in the territory of countries that are members of the EEU. The importer must conclude an Authorized Person Agreement, APA.
Important information regarding the Certificate is provided below.
The maximum period of validity of the certificate is 5 years. Annual Inspection Control has to take place in the case of registration for more than 1 year.
Minimum validity period of the certificate is 1 year.
Stages of registration of the CC EEU include:
- Application to the certifying agency for certification and drawing up of the required package of documents.
- Appointment of a responsible expert, execution of a decision on certification.
- Production status analysis. If necessary, departure of the expert
- Taking samples and specimens, importing into the territory of the EEU.
- Evaluation of the examination results, expert decision on the Certificate issuance.
- Correction Procedure.
