Air Transportation
Air Transportation is one of the fastest logistic routes to Europe, Asia and the Americas. The choice of delivering cargo by air is usually determined by strict deadlines on transportation time or possible failures at the production or commercial organizations when the delivery of the required equipment or goods is critical. In addition, air transport handles the majority of the e-commerce – it is when the Customer is guaranteed a fairly short delivery time for the goods he or she has purchased.
In this regard, not only the qualitative organization of air transportation matters the most, but also the speed of customs clearance of cargo delivered by air transport comes to the forefront.
Between the time of arrival of the flight and placing the cargo at the airport terminal areas (TSH) passes from 4 to 8 hours, depending on the work of the airport's ground services. It is required to prepare all documents for customs clearance, including the goods declaration, during this period of time.
Particular attention should be paid to the verification of the actual data of the cargo - its weight and number of packages. This is connected to the procedure of handling cargo delivered by air transport. Placement at the temporary storage warehouse is based on actual parameters of the cargo, rather than on supporting documents.
Discrepancy between the data on the cargo specified in the cargo declaration and in the documents executed by a bonded warehouse may cause the application of additional customs control measures or, in some cases, refusal to register and / or release the customs declaration.
