Obtaining preliminary decision on the classification of goods by a party to FEA will help to determine the amount of payment of the required customs duties, decide on the declaration of goods and reduce the likelihood of errors in choosing the code by oneself.
Preliminary decision on the classification of goods is made within 60 calendar days from the date of registration of the authorized customs authority of the application for a preliminary decision on the classification of goods in accordance with par. 18 of Article 18 of the Federal Law № 289 of August 3rd, 2018.
Obtaining a state service includes:
- Support on payment of state duty.
- Analysis of the documents.
- Preparation of the application and a set of documents.
- Sending the application to the customs office.
- Monitoring the stage of decision-making on the application.
- Advising on how to obtain a preliminary decision.
Obtaining a preliminary decision will prevent a foreign trade participant from being inspected, followed by additional customs duties and institution of an administrative offense.
